Silicon Alley Reporter

I read the blog piece in New York Magazine today. It didn't suck as much as it should have. I met Nick Denton a long time ago when he had a company called "Moreover." I just remember he was a great pitchman.

Jason Calacanis. I remember mocking him with my friend a couple of years ago: "His business is blogs? Blogs? What a dork." Then he goes and sells it for 25 Million. Not exactly pre-bust money, but nice nonetheless. Jason was always such a character. I think he loved "Silicon Alley Reporter" more than anything else. Especially all the drama around those Top 10 Lists. Or was it Top 100? I don't even remember.

One thing I have come to accept over the years is that I just am not an early adopter. I am in the category right after that, and that's cool. Success in life is knowing yourself.
